In the last few years VELUX has released new variations of their standard product range including more automated and motorised opening mechanisms for roof windows.

Solar Powered Skylight (VSS)
Product features:

VELUX Electric Skylight (VSE)
The VSE Electric Opening Skylight offers the comfort and energy savings of free Daylight and Fresh Air. The added convenience of remote control and built-in rain sensors make this the ultimate Skylight solution.

- Outer aluminium cappings (grey).
- Complete with pre-installed electric motor, control system & rain sensor.
- Simple to install – 2 metre lead (supplied) plugs into power point.

VELUX Manual Skylight (VS)
The VS Manually Opening Skylight offers the comfort and energy savings of free Daylight and Natural Ventilation. The pre-installed Insect Screen adds the benefit of keeping mosquitoes and flies out in summer.

- Outer aluminium cappings (grey).
- Operated by winder handle, for within reach situations, or by rod for out-of reach use (to 285cm above head height).

VELUX Fixed Skylight (FS)
The FS Fixed Skylight is perfect for visually expanding any area of the home by transforming rooms with daylight and views of the sky. It provides an economical alternative for creating a spacious home that is filled with abundant daylight.

VELUX Flat Roof Skylight (FCM)
The brilliantly simple FCM flat roof skylight incorporates the VELUX High performance laminated glazing unit and an all metal exterior frame.The smooth exterior gives not only a lower profile on the roof, but also provides a “cool” daylighting solution by effectively blocking heat build up and UV rays. Huge benefits at a fraction of the price you would expect.

- Laminated glass will not fade or discolour over time – unlike acrylic or polycarbonate.
- Available in 10 sizes
- Maintenance-free anodized heavy-gauge aluminium frame withstands the extremes of the Australian climate.
- Versatile positioning: most sizes can be used in portrait, landscape or even “diamond shape” orientation.
- High Performance double glazing as standard – blocks approx 75% of radiant heat and gives 99% protection from UV rays
- Requires custom-made flashing (not supplied).

VELUX Sun Tunnel
The NEW generation VELUX Sun Tunnel has been redesigned from the ground up with a wide range of improvements that make installation faster and easier. Tube assembly time is reduced and less time is spent in the roof cavity.
The VELUX flexible and rigid Sun Tunnels provide installation flexibility. Rigid sun tunnels are most suited to roof spaces with minimal obstructions. They have a highly reflective shaft to achieve maximum light output. Flexible tunnels can be used when obstructions in the roof cavity prevent the use of rigid Sun Tunnels.
Sun Tunnels are ideal for hallways, walk-in robes, pantries, toilets and other small areas without natural light.

- Bushfire rating of BAL 29 (applicable to TWR installed between 18-60°)
- Choice of highly reflective rigid or flexible tunnel (350mm diameter, lengths vary)
- 4mm toughened glass
- Dual-layered ceiling diffuser – spreads light over an area of up to 9m²
- Interior diffuser with ‘Edge Glow’ design
- Outer polyurethane cappings with integrated flashings for tiled/corrugated iron roofs

Traditional Skylights
Next to our range of VELUX products we supply and fit a range of traditional skylights.
They have the following features:
- Can be ventilating, non ventilating, opening or fixed
- Glazing material available- acrylic, polycarbonate, glass, double or single glazed
- Available glazing colours: clear, tinted or opal – special colours on request
- Glazing can be different shapes: domed ( rectangular,square , circular), pyramid (single glazed or segmented) and flat (glass)
- Traditional skylights can be made as a roof access port with a glazing type for light and access. They can be all metal for security access
- The internal light shaft between the roof and ceiling can be lined with a variety of materials e.g. plasterboard, MDF, plywood, pine, cedar or flexible reflective shaft for non straight installations.
- We can supply complete traditional skylight kits for those who are able to install themselves.
Custom Skylights
In cases where off the shelf won’t fit or suit we have the ability to provide bespoke one off skylights.
Our Central Coast team can manufacture skylights in any size and from various materials e.g. galvanised, zincalume, aluminium, copper and stainless steel.
You can also adjust the glazing to exactly how you would like it.
We make the flashing so it will all fit with no leaks and no installation delays.
When we quote we will offer the best solution and advise whether a custom skylight would be the way to go.
